Greener Data will help open the 2026 iMasons Climate Accord Summer Webinar Series on Friday, May 29, with a live discussion focused on sustainable digital infrastructure, AI growth, operational realities and the collaboration needed to move the industry forward.
The first session of the series is open to all, while future sessions will be reserved for iMasons Climate Accord members.
As the digital infrastructure industry continues to grow, especially with the rapid acceleration of AI, the conversation around sustainability is becoming more urgent, more complex and more important. Data centers are being asked to support rising demand for compute, power and cooling while also making meaningful progress on climate goals, resource efficiency, reporting and community impact.
This opening Greener Data session will bring together leaders from across the ecosystem for a thoughtful conversation about what sustainable progress looks like in practice.
A Timely Conversation for the Digital Infrastructure Industry
The iMasons Climate Accord Summer Webinar Series returns in 2026 with a focus on candid, operator-led conversations around execution. Last year’s sessions created space for discussions about the real constraints shaping sustainable infrastructure, including power, water, materials and Scope 3 emissions.
This year, those conversations are even more relevant.
AI is increasing demand across the data center ecosystem, while companies are also working to turn sustainability commitments into measurable outcomes. The challenge is not simply setting goals. It is understanding how those goals translate into planning, design, operations, supply chains, energy sourcing, cooling strategies and the communities where data centers are built.
The opening session will explore these realities through the lens of Greener Data, a platform built around shared learning, practical insight and cross-industry collaboration.
Greener Data: A Platform for Collaboration and Action
Greener Data began as a book series, but it has grown into a broader movement connecting voices from across the digital infrastructure industry.
Through contributions from operators, engineers, policymakers, sustainability leaders and next-generation professionals, Greener Data highlights the many perspectives needed to build a more sustainable digital future. The series is designed to spark conversation, share lessons learned and encourage action across a rapidly changing industry.
During the webinar, the panel will explore themes including:
- How the data center industry can better align sustainability goals with the day-to-day realities of building and operating critical infrastructure.
- The practical considerations companies are weighing as AI drives greater demand for compute, power and cooling.
- The role of meaningful sustainability metrics in helping organizations track progress, strengthen accountability and move beyond surface-level reporting.
- How data center sustainability efforts can create value for the broader communities where facilities are located.
- The importance of collaboration across companies, sectors and disciplines in accelerating measurable progress.
- And the innovations giving industry leaders optimism about the future of sustainable digital infrastructure.
Featured Speakers
The session will be moderated by Jaymie Scotto Cutaia, Founder and CEO of JSA and creator of the Greener Data book series.
She will be joined by Greener Data contributors and industry leaders:
Peter Lantry
Managing Director, Equinix Ireland
Louis Liu
Senior Sustainability Project Engineer, Rehlko
Jim Summers
CEO, GPC Infrastructure
The webinar will include a 30-minute moderated discussion, followed by 30 minutes of open Q&A with the audience.
Moving the Conversation Forward
Sustainability in digital infrastructure is no longer a side conversation. It is part of how companies are thinking about growth, resilience, efficiency and long-term responsibility.
As AI reshapes the industry, the path forward will require more than one solution or one perspective. It will take honest discussion, practical decision-making and collaboration across the full ecosystem, from energy and engineering to operations, policy, community engagement and technology innovation.
That is the purpose of Greener Data: to bring more voices into the conversation and help turn ideas into meaningful action.
