Vicki Worden is a sustainability thought leader and President and CEO of the Green Building Initiative, a nonprofit dedicated to making buildings healthy places to live and work while reducing their impacts on the environment. Worden has dedicated her career to advancing environmental initiatives across North America. Her leadership has grown GBI into a thriving community supporting sustainability and wellness objectives in some of the world’s largest real estate portfolios. She is a sought-after speaker, known trend-spotter and passionate, mission-based leader with special expertise in women’s leadership in STEM, leveraging remote work structures and organizational change management. Worden’s chapter will discuss how decarbonization and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) trends are shaping decisions and driving change in data and telecommunications. Worden holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from Loyola University Maryland, and is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Organizational Management. She lives in Camden, Maine, where she feeds her soul by hiking and skiing with her husband and dogs.
