As Managing Director Finland of Verne, Kim drives the operations and excellence of Verne's data center services. Having overseen the startup and early growth phase of Ficolo (now Verne Finland) as Chairman, Kim joined full time in 2017 as CFO and CCO. As head of Finland, he works with the largest technology companies in the world to cost effectively scale digital infrastructure while reducing the carbon footprint. Kim has overseen green certification initiatives that have helped the organization achieve several industry firsts, such as the first Dark Green-rated green bond for a data center company, as well as the first climate neutral label for a hyperscale-level Nordic data center. Sustainability efforts under Kim's leadership include directing excess data center heat into the district heating grid to enable the use of green energy not once, but twice.
