James Rogers Jones has translated early activism in political, social, and economic causes into work that focuses on our most pressing challenge – climate change. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in sustainable energy and policy from Cardiff University with focus on energy and policy. At Northshore, he worked as an engineer at the intersection of data center operation and sustainability, helping clients across EMEA manage regulatory compliance, reporting, and alignment with net zero commitments. As Head of Sustainable Development at BCS, he now serves as a bridge between the data center industry and government, working to align the rapid growth of digital infrastructure with new markets for green data centers, more jobs, economic growth, and expanded access to clean energy. James is a board member of Community Energy Wales, which focuses on community led renewable energy initiatives, and this past year became a Chartered Environmentalist and a full member of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals.
