Chris is a former British Army officer from the Royal Armoured Corps and holds a BSc (Hons) in IT. After leaving the military 30 years ago, he moved into the IT and business services industries, where he has delivered major software and infrastructure projects for multinational corporations and government departments across the UK, USA, Europe, and Asia. He has led professional services teams in the financial sector in London and has been involved in several technology start-ups. For the past 25 years, Chris has focused on the data centre industry, playing a key role in delivering major projects across the UK, Europe and China. He was instrumental in developing the Carbon Trust’s 2010 sustainability standards for data centres and advised the Malaysian government in 2012 on data centre strategy, recommending telecom market liberalisation and Johor’s development to complement Singapore. Chris was a founding executive at Chayora, where he helped raise $500 million and oversaw the development of two major data centres in China. Since co-founding Power Harvest Infrastructure (Phi) in 2022, Chris has focused on developing Sustainable Technology Campuses (STC) across the UK and EMEA, creating a blueprint for ethical, high-performance data centres that can be adapted and deployed globally.
