In this episode, Jaymie and Evan catch up with Brad Meissner, Product Manager – Global Large Diesel Generators for Kohler Power. Brad discusses the chapter he co-wrote with two other Kohler employees, which details the company’s revolutionary and evolutionary approaches to greening the data center and backup power industry.
Meissner says on the podcast, “We’re pursuing technologies in parallel.”
From a revolutionary perspective, Kohler is experimenting with battery-powered generators and hydrogen fuel cells. Evolutionary changes are things they’re doing with diesel generators that can be implemented much faster.
Meissner also talks about what his dream job was as a child [hint: it’s very close to what he does now!].
